Welcome!!<br />
<br />
<strong>My name is Melanie Walker, formerly of the Pet Bed and Breakfast, cageless cat kennel.</strong><br />
<br />
The kennel was closed in October of 2011. After ten years of business, I was excited to follow new passions and business directions. <br />
<br />
<strong>Let me introduce you to my next business, Diamond Light Photography and Design</strong>... <a href="http://www.diamondlight.ca/">www.diamondlight.ca</a> <br />
I specialize in Creative People Photography, of all kinds and styles.... Portraits, Couples, Engagements, Special Occasions, Family, New Born, Social Media and Website Content and Profile Pictures, Model Portfolios, Seniors Photography, Children, Legacy, Fashion, Product, Commercial.... pretty much anything that involves people.... and their pets! <br />
<br />
For all of my former Pet Bed and Breakfast customers, you will all recall how much fun I always had photographing and posting blog pictures of your furry little friends.<br />
<br />
<strong>With Diamond Light Photography and Design, I seek to capture with my portraits, the outer and even more subtle, inner beauty of each person. I am always interested in a person's true nature, those qualities that make a person that person, a couple that couple, a family that family, etc....and I always have fun doing it!</strong><br />
<br />
If you are interested in learning more about my Photography Business, feel free to have a peak at my new business and website. There, you will find photo galleries of my work, an extensive FAQ section and a new blog +++. I've included a few sample pictures of my Photographic Style below. <br />

She and her 2 brothers are scheduled to return home this week. They usually come in for a pre-Christmas holiday and get back home again, in time for Santa Claus.... That's not to say of course, that Santa doesn't arrive at the Pet B&B each year... cause he certainly does! There will be a big bowl of cream and Meow Mix waiting for him!<br /><br /><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNkkYZRvqNAUeUTpS0Yn5OCRuR7HvTd88L2hC1xr0Cix56cBG-bNXOWP_DdumLC19F19ghUDHH8Ntl_FxjKsqHqlhckEkVGDbrh6-F8btKqvq26IMKZPFg3o8uwLY_QrPaYkeig7Tn7plP/s1600/alley+tractor.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5551303507626063618" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 150px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 200px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNkkYZRvqNAUeUTpS0Yn5OCRuR7HvTd88L2hC1xr0Cix56cBG-bNXOWP_DdumLC19F19ghUDHH8Ntl_FxjKsqHqlhckEkVGDbrh6-F8btKqvq26IMKZPFg3o8uwLY_QrPaYkeig7Tn7plP/s200/alley+tractor.jpg" border="0" /></a><br />(Left) There's another of my adorable girls, Alley (dark tabby)... now that I look down the page, I see that everyone is a gorgeous girl today, sorry boys, we'll see some of you tomorrow perhaps ... Brooke did have a feline companion before so the family thought that bringing a new cat into the home would be beneficial to her and would give the children a pet they could interact with. So, the family adopted a second cat but unfortunately this didn't work. The new cat got on very well with the children but did not make friends with Brooke and even bullied her. Brooke now spends her time alone in the basement away from the family because of the children and the other cat. While it is upsetting for the family, they feel they can no longer keep her.<br /><br />Brooke does like adult company and loves to be petted. She is in good health and up to date with her shots. She would make the purr-fect addition to a one pet adult household.<br />This beautiful indoor only cat desperately needs a new home or her fate may soon be sealed!<br /><br />If you can give Brooke the love and attention she needs to live out her life peacefully, please contact Cat Rescue Network at <a href="mhtml:%7B50E74382-F3B5-4D57-9038-9A6057411CF1%7Dmid://00001802/!x-usc:mailto:flora_louise@yahoo.ca">mhtml:%7B50E74382-F3B5-4D57-9038-9A6057411CF1%7Dmid://00001802/!x-usc:mailto:flora_louise@yahoo.ca</a>. She spent the early part of her life outdoors in a feral colony but is now an indoor only cat who loves attention and rolls around on her back when she is petted. Annie loves to play and chase and would be happier if her new home included a feline friend for her to play with.Annie has been through a lot recently having been in two foster homes and adopted and returned because the resident cat bullied her. Here is the story of her recent events:<br /><br />Oct, 2010 -Unfortunately little Annie (formerly Alphie) is once again up to adoption. She is truly loved by her adopter; however, the resident cat is not so happy and is bullying poor little Annie. The adopter is very upset about this as Annie is an adorable cat and she is heartbroken that she has to give her up. But she is very concerned for Annie's safety and well being. You can read all about Annie below and maybe you could open up your heart to this beautiful little feline. She really does deserve a new loving home.Jul 5, 2010 - We received this update on Annie from her new family. "Annie is lovely! She's very shy but she's coming out of her shell daily. I was very happy when she gave me a lovely smooch around my ankles this morning. She seems to be getting along with Karma and Soda too. She had a bit of a rough start with Karma but I found them relaxing together under the bed this morning. Her appetite is very good and she takes regular strolls around the apartment now. All in all, I think things are working out swimmingly. I love little Annie very much. Thanks for putting us together!Jun 10, 2010 - Alphie found her forever home today which she will be sharing with two other kitties so she will not lack for company. We wish Alphie a long and happy life with her new family.<br />If you can give Annie the love and attention she needs, please contact Cat Rescue Network at <a href="mhtml:%7BCBDE273F-63C6-4B31-B1F0-1F782F536C67%7Dmid://00000212/!x-usc:mailto:flora_louise@yahoo.ca">mhtml:%7BCBDE273F-63C6-4B31-B1F0-1F782F536C67%7Dmid://00000212/!x-usc:mailto:flora_louise@yahoo.ca</a>.<br /><br />Please visit the CRN website at <a href="mhtml:%7BCBDE273F-63C6-4B31-B1F0-1F782F536C67%7Dmid://00000212/!x-usc:http://www.catrescuenetwork.ca/">www.catrescuenetwork.ca</a> to see all the kittens and cats currently in foster homes awaiting adoption.</div>ottawacatchitchathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07930359107240083682noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8535424068060224967.post-59978251293766267362010-12-07T10:35:00.003-05:002010-12-07T14:10:44.487-05:00The Christmas Season starts this week at the Pet B&B!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDtIPixQS7nKa0wbl7HShZKa-NlkJhKjZGn_WfcrC4YdtqgZrjg-FbB8BGZ8ySmbzhwsV2R2wH21fs3JteGAJ_Sj4KWoNeubzeiLq8nIWTiS-B3T4Am3HsZwUCg632w1e8-WhHwNdandyZ/s1600/alley+corner+bunks.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5547964826618318866" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 200px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 150px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDtIPixQS7nKa0wbl7HShZKa-NlkJhKjZGn_WfcrC4YdtqgZrjg-FbB8BGZ8ySmbzhwsV2R2wH21fs3JteGAJ_Sj4KWoNeubzeiLq8nIWTiS-B3T4Am3HsZwUCg632w1e8-WhHwNdandyZ/s200/alley+corner+bunks.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br />(Left) Little miss Alley (dark tabby) can be spotted sleeping on the corner bunk beds sometimes. I like to get the sink filled with soapy water to do the morning dishes.... This, today, was done before I doled out the morning's wet food... How nice to have help with the dishes.... My handsome little EugenieBean (orange tabby) offered to help out... in exchange for getting to clean all of the mornings spoons as they exit the wet food tins.... Tammy (calico) was content to wait patiently for me to prepare her bowl. Sounds like he's still got a whole lot to chat about, when he's home with his dad. I didn't find him to be any more talkative than normal with me. That being said... he does love to talk. My little drool and purr machine here, adores being brushed and talked to.<br /><br /><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_YLq-7xcMOPQvOyXCAmv0C0faf2OaHritvgD5uj3W-PYaeQ5fAYeHyuEWtKMNV0atOX8hM2-4EcULKTq75Bj3sVgaW69sJ_v4RMIEJmfmvHbtJIY-mjbES7yCuWHj5cbiSeRslWrHLnZZ/s1600/mimi+loft.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5536072324185670786" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 200px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 150px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_YLq-7xcMOPQvOyXCAmv0C0faf2OaHritvgD5uj3W-PYaeQ5fAYeHyuEWtKMNV0atOX8hM2-4EcULKTq75Bj3sVgaW69sJ_v4RMIEJmfmvHbtJIY-mjbES7yCuWHj5cbiSeRslWrHLnZZ/s200/mimi+loft.jpg" border="0" /></a><br />(Left) Our handsome little Mimi (orange/white tabby) has returned to his favorite cat beds, up on the loft. He only arrived yesterday and settled in right away. He's probably finding the B&B peaceful and quiet compared to his busy life with a rambunctious 2 year old running around the house. He's doing great as always.<br /><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipKL6sCKnb2SEq1FAJmIWUT_x9dFCBMaGg4y_jn1E2_ajm2EZOpv7yRv092qjjZgeu2Gcxto8imxuKUPhlVvHXxCAe6WOnlvizDurTZgwQBMPxAxxZXiwsMPoznsFjLp20XEHyvLDP9nc0/s1600/tammy+stairs.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5536072316820389906" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 200px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 150px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipKL6sCKnb2SEq1FAJmIWUT_x9dFCBMaGg4y_jn1E2_ajm2EZOpv7yRv092qjjZgeu2Gcxto8imxuKUPhlVvHXxCAe6WOnlvizDurTZgwQBMPxAxxZXiwsMPoznsFjLp20XEHyvLDP9nc0/s200/tammy+stairs.jpg" border="0" /></a><br />(Left) Tammy (calico) just returned this week as well. These 2 are going to have a blast over the coming week & days... Sweetie just keeps getting bigger.. his mom said that Siberians continue to grow right up to 4 years of age. Both boys are gentle, playful and social... I know that little Lillie will want to be included in all of the craziness....<br /><br /><br /><div></div>ottawacatchitchathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07930359107240083682noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8535424068060224967.post-20041255481666151542010-11-04T10:57:00.006-04:002010-11-04T15:41:04.819-04:00Lets see... we're still expecting a few more friends....<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg85kilTwsPgMKNjofurQSBl239ry4GXI9vu9WfnuwLYN36swQauzmB6ln6Zttc0KnyV-eNUVbwgBofGLF2irXyIFpS7m_F4NGkqK7m3hY3a153iTyto_kSVVycux1q-CH8kU96me2r7aoW/s1600/storm+belly.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5535709202282059570" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 200px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 150px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg85kilTwsPgMKNjofurQSBl239ry4GXI9vu9WfnuwLYN36swQauzmB6ln6Zttc0KnyV-eNUVbwgBofGLF2irXyIFpS7m_F4NGkqK7m3hY3a153iTyto_kSVVycux1q-CH8kU96me2r7aoW/s200/storm+belly.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br />(Left) Meet two of the B&B's newbies... Gorgeous girls, Storm (white/dark tabby) and her sister Alley (black/tortoise shell) had a short stay with us this week. They are both friendly and social. Zappie spent time hanging out with Stella (dark tabby), on the loft. Can Stella ever be a hamm! She loves to meet every person that comes in... I just have to keep an eye on her, because she will sometimes attempt to jump up onto me, from the ground. She goes home soon.<br /><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiloYTgE8mu2FLLOWQHUUo42xxyivZ23BrNRKjv65NVr6ro47ZgcgY_6rjjWKCNGXAHtbcJ7sXz0ZS5k8v5yjXA7LmagIeNWapLAls_ziJnQ0zEjp6vq65qEW2CODvb6-8B1w3bVfoY8dil/s1600/slip+%26+eugene.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5535026379392642786" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 150px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 200px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiloYTgE8mu2FLLOWQHUUo42xxyivZ23BrNRKjv65NVr6ro47ZgcgY_6rjjWKCNGXAHtbcJ7sXz0ZS5k8v5yjXA7LmagIeNWapLAls_ziJnQ0zEjp6vq65qEW2CODvb6-8B1w3bVfoY8dil/s200/slip+%26+eugene.jpg" border="0" /></a><br />(Left) Slip (orange/white, chair) just left yesterday. I find that she's been more relaxed and social than other times too. This may be due to her new little brother that has been 'warming' her up.... waiting for acceptance... I predict that she'll finally be ready to start playing with the little lad, once she returns home later this week.<br /><div> </div>ottawacatchitchathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07930359107240083682noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8535424068060224967.post-89429489993559883772010-11-01T15:53:00.004-04:002010-11-01T17:57:55.574-04:00As November begins... A buddy is a buddy is a buddy!<br /><br /><div><div><div><div></div></div></div></div></div></div>ottawacatchitchathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07930359107240083682noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8535424068060224967.post-39715949174158076192010-10-26T05:47:00.002-04:002010-10-26T15:02:13.374-04:00Tuesday October 26th, and all is well.<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUtczl7YzQk_bDnU5Q7th7YqNlymfkXQ1eqk3KGRHM2cYnkZ_AoTtXwAbO9SMLmYb2p4Mqo79Cwr8EjyOldxpAvBEdbc-EWdvyp0DRYwVPdTSgRmZMB6LSdVFSzlsyPayzuy6QFRJLnIc8/s1600/djange+treehs.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5532073525591554562" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 150px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 200px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUtczl7YzQk_bDnU5Q7th7YqNlymfkXQ1eqk3KGRHM2cYnkZ_AoTtXwAbO9SMLmYb2p4Mqo79Cwr8EjyOldxpAvBEdbc-EWdvyp0DRYwVPdTSgRmZMB6LSdVFSzlsyPayzuy6QFRJLnIc8/s200/djange+treehs.jpg" border="0" /></a><br />(Left) My boy Django (orange tabby) is seen lounging in one of his favorite treehouses. My big orange jelly bean here, loves to roll around on his sides and back... while he flashes his 'What? Cute! Me?! Moi?' smile at you. Always good to see my little charmer again.<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIP0pztUSzaEQBm48i6Y4Dh_oyX0lldhtQCT1HZPBt7Hm1EZVfbHNO96DsMksV5WTEAK4JJkw1a88XUJMuM9kGwjX7BHn-xfFKwtUjlYfj066yM8Ymtiyj_eaQUyW5-zL3wQiS_1s1244m/s1600/twyla+smile.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5532073515382001122" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 200px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 150px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIP0pztUSzaEQBm48i6Y4Dh_oyX0lldhtQCT1HZPBt7Hm1EZVfbHNO96DsMksV5WTEAK4JJkw1a88XUJMuM9kGwjX7BHn-xfFKwtUjlYfj066yM8Ymtiyj_eaQUyW5-zL3wQiS_1s1244m/s200/twyla+smile.jpg" border="0" /></a><br />(Left) Twyla (dark tabby/white) is much the same. She's not an 'in your face' kinda girl, but she knows how to 'work it', just the same. She is looking forward to seeing her folks again in the coming week. Twyla Wyla.... You too cute!<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAmnr33s5-wGAKUKjYmZORgBsfW5483Nrowx1ZLqxPmwatQBnXsrJa127ovUoko0tgW66fwAbZ_vddY5e7lgr8gRS2QnfebZ2YEEddcotaqRXARXQtnZhdCstLn96rew8gD0JHatEspjHa/s1600/timmy+plane.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5532073511379488386" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 200px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 150px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAmnr33s5-wGAKUKjYmZORgBsfW5483Nrowx1ZLqxPmwatQBnXsrJa127ovUoko0tgW66fwAbZ_vddY5e7lgr8gRS2QnfebZ2YEEddcotaqRXARXQtnZhdCstLn96rew8gD0JHatEspjHa/s200/timmy+plane.jpg" border="0" /></a><br />(Left) HiHi Timmy (dark tabby). I see you've discovered the airplane! This handsome, shy little boy is soo gentle and calm. He is the brother of Maggie. These 2, so far, have opposite personalities. Maggie is a complete extrovert... Timmy is a thinker... Both are adorable.<br /><br /><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhO6TkzjO18RNyUGLFsN9483C2QNYmF2YIm5QCCzAmzk2o8jA94gMtP0ADfJhJ0PeV4k7ZNR8Hrlw6FVa5SrPe-32_0F_scAuzDRMKjmJjkt6VY_meTipWahLj8QBP6ZNu9DYmZPoiwwv6d/s1600/kenji+monk.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5532073505699535714" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 200px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 150px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhO6TkzjO18RNyUGLFsN9483C2QNYmF2YIm5QCCzAmzk2o8jA94gMtP0ADfJhJ0PeV4k7ZNR8Hrlw6FVa5SrPe-32_0F_scAuzDRMKjmJjkt6VY_meTipWahLj8QBP6ZNu9DYmZPoiwwv6d/s200/kenji+monk.jpg" border="0" /></a><br />(Left) Monk (black), you love to make me nervous with all of your high-wire antics.... You hold on now! That's Kenji (siamese) farther in, on top of the airplane. These 2 brothers had so much fun over the past weekend. Both are awesome climbers and love to take full advantage of the fact that they never get asked to 'get down' from anything at the B&B. It's all for them. Yes, even the kitchen sink!<br /><div> </div>ottawacatchitchathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07930359107240083682noreply@blogger.com0
