It must be springtime!... the Rhubarbs are everywhere!

(Left) Fluffy (grey/white medium hair) found the perfect BigBird2 watching spot... a foot away from his home... If you look closely at the picture you'll see a little orange/white social butterfly kitty in the background.... goes by the name of Bow.... He's resting his eyes from all of the fleeting eye movement of trying to keep up to BigBird2's flying & flitting about.... Fluffy still had a bit of energy left to continue for a while longer..

(Left) Must've been siesta time in the afternoon.... We have the 2 brothers Punkin (orange/white) and Rags ( Ragdoll far right)... Joining them is Daisy (grey/white).... This is the kitty that was attached to those legs from underneath the train car from yesterday . (That may sound dangerous... but, it wasn't!)... Rounding out our furry quartette is Trema (caramel/brown tabby).... I'm guessing that this was a well deserved rest for all involved...

(Left) Our gorgeous kitty Menou is a very familiar face at the Pet B&B... She's a bit independant with the other cats but really likes human attention... She has very pretty markings too..

(Left) Rhubarb (black short hair), sister of Frigo is almost always found curled up somewhere at ceiling height... She loves to peruse the room and keep up to date on the goings-on below.... There's a real marshallow for you!

(Left) More Rhubarb!!! Like I said, it must be spring time... This Rhubarb (black) is a male and has medium length hair...(His sister Daisy (grey/white) is pictured with her 3 friends above). Here, he's being teased by BigBird2..... 'No really. I'll stand completely still... Catch me.. if you think you can!!'

It's gonna be a busy one today boys & girls!

(Left) Our friends Kashmir (white) and his brother Petit Loup (grey) joined us for Easter.... always nice to have them in... a very gentle duo....

(Above) Here goes Ellie (black) flirting with all the cute young boys again... This time, she's trying to engage Punkin (orange/white kitten) to play with her.... He's a very playful munchkin to begin with... so, there wasn't any arm twisting going on here! Punkin was only too keen to indulge her!

(Left) I see the cat 'train conductor.... but, oh wait... what's happened to his 'cat legs'.... That would be Daisy (grey/white)... she can be shy when she first comes in... but, she's all past that now! We thought it was cute just the same...

(Left) Banjo (grey tabby) is back in again.... He's discovered the hay bails.... actually, he remembered them, from his last visit.... this is one very sweet little boy...

(Left) Augustine (dark tabby) is visiting us for the first time.... I've know her mom & dad for a number of years.. It's nice to finally meet their little girl... She has 2 playful, rather large puppies at the house... but, it sounds like Augustine is in charge there.... kitty power!!!

Bow's holiday schedule.... a day in the life of....

(Left) Bow (orange/white kitten) likes to start his day with a nice well rounded meal, covering all of the essential protein groups... Then (Below Left), if he has time, he likes to rest quietly to digest his breakfast... and '4-legged people watch', for a while.... He considers it even better entertainment than watching television!

(Above Right) As is always the case at the Pet B&B, one of Bow's friends will happen along (Here we have Trema stopping by), for some light conversation, banter and maybe a round or two of 'relay racing' up & down & around the play structures.... He's very conscious of his figure...! Exercise is good!

(Left) Once he's had enough of this 'taking it easy' stuff... He heads out in search of a little excitement & action... BigBird2 provides Bow with hours of that! After which, a siesta is usually in order.... Then, he restarts the whole routine again, from the top, above! Repeat 12 or 14 times... Resume the following day.... Just like people on holiday... Cats return home from the Pet B&B to sleep... Why waste valuable vacation time doing that?!?

Happy Easter!

All of our furry friends would like to wish everyone a very Happy Easter... Just a reminder that the Pet B&B is closed on Easter Monday, but resumes regular office hours on Tuesday....
More bunnies..... Here we have little boy Caramel (Above) .. below we have his sister Mandy (with darker ears).... More company for Bunny & Holly....

(Left) Noel (black with red heart) climbed up on top of the townhouses..... He usually does like height... but this is a new hang-out for him... He's very often found on the window ledge too.... He's an adorable big bear...

(Left) More black kitties.... Here we have Frigo (medium haired black)... He's in again with his sister Rhubarb... also a black cat, but short hair.... Both are very schmoozie...

(Left) Zaria (white) climbed up our carpeted 'river' to see Olivia (grey/white) and George (black with white chest)....The three of them are big marshmallows.... they love attention...

(Left) It's our first time meeting Charlie (black/white)...He's the recent new brother for our friend Fluffy... Charlie is trying his had at all of the playstructures... Here, he's taking the 'spaceship' out for a spin.... Fluffy didn't want to come along this time.....

Drum roll... Enter Stage Left... Easter Bunnies!!

TaDa! Easter Bunnies...! Oh, No... Not those chocolate varieties... but rather the real soft, plush, adorale type. Easter just wouldn't be complete at the Pet B&B without a few of these to set the tone......We have Holly (brown) and her brother Bunny (grey/white) celebrating with us... They visited us 2 years ago, their first time... One thing about bunnies... They are even more curious than cats... and equally as hilarious!

(Left) Here we have Syam (siamese), on tour again... He is not one to whittle his day away by sleeping... Goodness, No!! Not this social butterfly... He's quite the lady's man... My guess is that he saw one of these gorgeous little girls enter the space rocket and went to offer his company and assistance... Chivalry is not dead!

(Left) So nice to have Manon (white with dark tabby) back in Ottawa again... She had a brief stay, on the East Coast this winter, and has returned with her mother... We've know Manon for a number of years already... It's such a nice surprise to have her back so soon..

(Left) Diablo (grey Abysinian), or Mr. D., as I call him, is back for another holiday at the Pet B&B while his parents head to NYC for some much anticipated awesome food & sight-seeing... He's a very handsome little lad... and is quite the schmooze once he gets adjusted...

'Black & White All Over' Event

The last few weeks it's been 'tabby land' at the Pet B&B .. this weekend seems to be 'Black & White' Easter... (Left) Ople (white long hair) hangs out with Charlie Chaplin (black/white).. they met for the first time last year... here, they share their common favorite hangout, atop the bunkbeds..

(Left) Where there is Ople, there is sure to be Mommy Snowy, as I refer to her... (white in tractor)... Our cute little Suzie Q remembers these two girls from many previous occasions...

(Left) Winnie (black/white) is visiting for the first time... She has taken up part-time residence in the castle.... Each day, she gets more and more adventurous and interactive with the other cats...

(Left) Rhubarb (black medium hair) is visiting again with his sister Daisy... This picture doesn't really do him justice.. He's got quite an impressive charcoal colored maine going on..

(Left) Zaria (solid white).... or, ZarZar Bean.. as I call her... visits us regularly...She loves sleeping in the hot-air-balloon baskets... especially when things get busy, down on the floor.. She loves the camera.. and gave us many goofy poses as she writhed and wiggled about on her back....

(Left) Ellie (solid black) has returned as well... and has resumed her familiar role as pilot of the bi-wing airplane... She travels almost as much as her mother does...! Great navigational skills .. this little Miss!
As you can see, I added a couple of extra pics today... In truth, we have many more blacks, whites and black & whites in this week... We'll try to keep up with the pics... I know that all of the kitties would like to send out a big 'Hello' to their families this Easter Weekend....

The Easter Bunnies have started to arrive..!

(Left) Zoe (grey tabby right) thought she'd climb down from the loft and see what Mimine (grey tabby left) was playing with down here... Trema (caramel/brown tabby) watches them play with the toy, from above... 'The way you had it going... I thought it was alive!... '

(Left) A colorful melange of kitties.... Luz (dark tabby) walks across the floor.. Kima (brown/black tabby) has settled on a big comfy pillow, Apostrophe (muted tortoise shell) climbs down from above and has her eyes on a little morning snack... While Kaju (solid grey) just likes to be in the center of it all.... Must not be nap time yet.. they're all still in motion...

(Left) Who can guess Charlie's second name?!?... that's right.. but, this one is none too silent... Charlie Chaplin IS a very animated little boy though! That part is right... Such a cutie!

(Left) Seeing as how Bow (orange tabby) went to all this work to come and see me... I had best fly over and say Hello... That's BigBird2 for you... always up for a little socializing... 'Come on... move in closer still... I want to see what your furry little orange toe tastes like!'

The Easter Bunnies are coming!!

(Left) Once 10:30 am rolls around, the action starts winding down..... for half an hour or so anyway... Bow (orange tabby) is visiting us for the first time, as is Buttine (dark tabby on left)... Zoe (dark tabby on right) has come to stay with us before... So many playful young kittens are spending the weekend with us...

(Left) The girls!... These three girls often visit us, around about the same time... I think it's a bit of a conspiracy that they cook up from their homes... They are each about the same age, around 2 years old... and each one is very schmoozie.... Zaria (white), Tess (dark tabby/white) and Suzie Q (tortoise shell) inside of the tractor.... They are very animated when they get going... It's nice that they plan their vacations around each other's schedule like that!

(Left) Here they are.... There they go! Brother and sister, Buttine (dark tabby left) and his sister Mimine (grey tabby right), are big on the physical workout aspect of the Pet B&B.. You can usually catch a little black or grey blurr go by when you're not looking... Mimine was a bit shy when she first arrived... but you wouldn't know it now...

(Left) Big handsome George (black with white) is visiting us for the first time too.. He's a little teddy bear... loves the neck rubs and attention... Gentle Giant George....

More with the tabbies...

(Left) Zoe (grey/black tabby) poses beside the 'No Dogs Allowed' poster in the back ground... All cats like to be photographed beside this picture... then, they send it to their family & friends in far away places..... Is that true!?! No really! You'd be surprised how many of these cats have allowed dogs into their homes.... many, many...

(Left) Tess (brown/black tabby with white) hangs out on the tractor with our innocent little Lincoln (solid grey)... both of them, always up for a little relay racing...

(Left) Luz (black/brown tabby) was already on Her Mark, Set and Gone before I even got the little 'starter pistol' raised to the sky... She was long gone! This girl has climbing, in the bones....

(Left) Buttine (black/caramel tabby) took a little breather, in between jumping from the loft to the stairs, then to the airplane above him.... Not done yet!... Does he look tired to you???? Nevvver!

Monday... It's gonna be an exciting week...

(Left) Syam (siamese)... still 'watching and waiting' for BigBird1 to swing his little mesh door open and come flying out... Just to visit of course.... and hopefully, to show off his flying skills.... All of the kitties would love to see that...

(Left) Oh Zoe... How cute are you?! Zoe (dark tabby on top of bird house) shows us 'moments of cute-ness' all day long.... as does her good friend Luz (dark tabby below)... These two girls started playing together as soon as Zoe arrived... both of them, very good climbers...

(Left) Trema (grey/fawn tabby) decided to meet some of the other guests... This was one of her first stops... checking in with Tigger...(dark tabby/white)... She soon moved on... Tigger wasn't as 'up for guests' as some of the other playful kittens were...

(Left) Lincoln, Lincoln, Lincoln.... What's up with the little coy look?! Do tell me that you're going to be a good boy with your new, adorable little 'big sister', watching you nervously from the top deck of the airplane above... Actually, I have seen progress in their relationship this weekend... They were kinda playing together... Sophie even initiated it... Mom, Dad & the kids will be happy to hear that!... finally!

So many new faces...

There is ample 'kitten energy' in the air this week.... getting ready to counter-balance all of the 'bunny energy' that's on it's way...

(Left) Some of our new young friends... meeting for the first time... On top of the loft, we find two siblings, Trema (brown/caramel tabby) and Apostrophe (muted tortoise shell).... They are really curious and have unusual markings... Below, all stretched out, along the ledge below them, is our new friend Buttine (dark tabby).... a real social butterfly...

(Left) Cats in space!..... Luz (balancing on the tree branch), looks ready to 'pop-in', literally, on another of our new friends, Mimine.... Little Mimine (fawn/grey tabby) isn't quite as adventurous as our girl Luz... but, then again, she hasn't been here as long as Luz.... yet.. Both girls, very sweet..

(Left) Angel (grey/white) is a little bit reserved when she's around a lot of commotion.... but, just you sit and talk to her for a bit and she soon abandons that sharade! She can be a down right flirt!

(Left) There's our boy Buttine again... Have little booties, will travel!!! That about says it all... I'm thinking we should attach one of those little 'step-counters' to his ankle just to see how many miles he puts on in an hour.... It wouldn't slow him down... That's for sure!
