Take a look into these eyes...

(Left) Jack Henry (fawn tabby) had to make his way up, down and around the stair structure. It didn't slow him down any, knowing that Princess (black/white) was up there already. This little guy doesn't know the words, Can't, Don't and, I don't want to play right now!...

(Left) Here's our adorable little Lulu (grey/white tabby) taking a little face time with BigBird2 before she leaves, later today. She had so much fun with all of her new friends. We look forward to seeing her again.

(Left) The two different colored eyes are a dead give-away... Yep! That's right! It's our handsome boy Stanley again (black/white). He is a very interesting and unique little boy, just as his eyes would suggest. He has a lovely personality.

(Left) Peek-a-boo Magoo! I see you.. and I see you looking at me through those double crossed little furry paws of yours.... This little cutie is quite shy. She was in, a short while ago, for her first visit. It was fun to have her back for a 2nd time. She remembered many of her favorite hide-outs... The KittyCab, in front of the window, was her favorite one, this time around.

So much to do... so much to say!

(Left) Here is a picture of Sweetie (Siberian, farthest in) and Jack Henry (fawn tabby), after they finished one of their world wrestling matches. They started to rumble, as soon as Jack Henry arrived this weekend. They met a few months back and obviously remembered each other. In the forefront, we have our adorable girl Lulu (grey/white tabby). If you take a closer look at Sweetie, you'll see that he holds his usual upside down pose, even after a work out. It must be one of the fastest ways for him to cool down, having a thick coat like that.

(Left) Here they go again. Yes, it's Sweetie and Jack Henry again. Lulu just sits and enjoys the entertainment. Percy (dark tabby closest) jumps in and out of these wrestling matches... Also joining the fun on occasion, is Besha.

(Left) More friendships formed... This picture is of Kedosh (chocolate Siamese) and Catou (white/dark tabby).. More playful, young kitten energy here too...

(Left) Bella (calico) spent a number of weeks at the Pet B&B with all of her feline friends, earlier this summer. She's back in again for another, shorter holiday, this time. There she went, within minutes, back into her favorite window parked airplane.... It's great to see her again. She's a talker too.

Tuesday must be black & white day!

(Left) On the top stairs, we find little Stanley on tour, as usual. Climbing down the lower steps, is Ezmeralda. She will be staying with us for a while this visit. Both of these kids are so playful and goofy.

(Left) We haven't seen little Kamikaze for a while. He's staying with us for a number of weeks this time though. He moved to Canada from Japan a few years ago... Now here, is a chatty kitty!

(Left) If we're talking chatty, we really mustn't forget to mention and include our chatty little Princess in that category. She can talk...She's way more vocal than her brother Romeo, below.

(Left) Romeo and Ezmerald, both look quite a like... they also both happen to really like this top corner bunk bed. Well, this isn't all of the black and whites that I have in right now... but, it's a start! Playful, social, active ... black & whites...

Ottawa's Adorable Cats on a long weekend...

(Left) Kouko (white/dark tabby) and his sister Tamiko are visiting us for the first time. I was told that these 2 are quite shy. So far, our handsome little Kouko, is looking around and exploring every space. His sister is a bit shyer, but is still real affectionate when you go to see her.

(Left) Many people will recognize our gorgeous girl Sassy (chocolate Siamese). Here, you have her 2 favorite spots.... the window ledge, and the top floor in the corner castle... She is very sweet and calm. She's not a big talker, like some Siamese are.

(Left) Here we have our handsome boys, Percy (dark tabby plane) and Stanley (black/white), both in again. Percy, the explorer, loves to keep tabs on what's going on. He's usually right in the middle of things. Stanley was just here a short while ago and recognizes a few familar faces, from his last visit. Both boys are social and playful....

(Left) I think I caught Antone (dark tabby/white) yawning last time he was in too... I guess it beats being snapped when you have a mouth full of food. This is of course, one of his fav spots to sleep on each visit.

The long weekend is in full swing...

(Left) Our new friend Smokey (grey/white) is a cool, laid back big boy. He is very social with all of the other cats and can be quite a talker, especially when he's come looking for his neck scratches.

(Left) There's Sweetie again, doing what Sweetie does best, exploring & playing.... oh ya, and looking far too cute! He's having a lot of fun with his buddies Jack Henry and Percy, who just arrived.

(Left) When it's BigBird1's bath time, he can't possibly hope for a bit of privacy. All of the cats love to watch him splash about in his fresh water bowl... The orange cat on the top, is Toto, the lower orange kitty is Whiskers... on the floor is Meowie (grey/white tabby). He does love to put on a show, that Love Bird of mine.

(Left) Here he comes.... Handsome Timbit is either on his way up to the space ship, or on his way down. He does the descent part quite gracefully and slowly. Many of the cats come down this carpeted ramp as if it's a water slide, and end up on top of a train car.

(Left) Our adorable Juliette (tortoise shell) can be very graceful too... That is her natural state actually. She does the 'laid back' thing well too.

Another busy one in store .. boys & girls!

(Left) Toto (orange tabby), or as dad calls him, Boobie....Is one cool cat for sure... He's a typical cuddle suck orange kitty... He just went home. It was fun to see him again. He does love BigBird1, and the camera...

(Left) Speaking of Camera Kitties... Sweetie (Siberian) doesn't seem to take a 'bad' picture.... I zoomed in close on him here, while he was passed out, on the quiet, hidden upper shelf, in the Kitty Condo... If he didn't have such a long, thick coat of hair, you would easily miss him, as you pass by.

(Left) Besha/Bella (Ragdoll) keeps an eye on our girl Lulu (grey/white tabby), shortly after Lulu arrived. Both of these girls are fun and funny to play with. They are always up for a generous serving of one-on-one attention getting.

(Left) Here's our gorgeous dark tabby, Jane again. She'll be staying with us for weeks. She decided to give me a nice pose, in front of her favorite Pirate Boat. She's a lovely big girl... very affectionate.

(Left) First, we had tree climber Puma (grey/white patches).. now, we have Space ship Ascending Puma.. Like I said earlier... He's an active little boy... If there's action goin' on .. It won't take him time to check it all out...

Orange Ham.. just missing Green Eggs...

(Left) Yesterday, you met Oreo. This is his adorable orange brother, Topaz. As you may guess, our Topaz is a bit of a ham.... A very gentle, sweet... orange, ham! And this, is one of our ham's favorite poses..

(Left) Our little tree climbing kitty is named Puma (grey/white patches). That's right... He does get around. He's visiting us for the first time too. As with most grey & white patched cats, he is very friendly and social, with everyone.... and busy... did I mention busy?!

(Left) How can you tell that these two are brothers?!? Well, I'm thinking that the schmoozie poses, in unison, kinda give it away. More friendly, playful Ottawa Cats.... They're everywhere! .. and, thank fully, at the Pet B&B!

(Left) Yes, it's our little cutie Stella (dark tabby), back again already. Zaria (white) seems to have taken a stroll away from her new beau Meowie. Both girls are very fond of BigBird1. I can't help but think that Stella would make a striking BigCat.... if she were 20 times larger... She has long hair and gets clipped but she's still got quite a unique face for a domestic.

(Left) Yes, there's Django (orange tabby) again. And, he's in his all time favorite tree house again. He does come down from there you know! He likes walking and rolling about on the floor when people are near. He's very gentle and sweet.

Sorry I'm late.... Here we go!

(Left) This gorgeous little newbie Lulu (grey/white tabby), is visiting us, and BigBird2, for the first time. Female grey tabbies can be a bit of a handful sometimes... but not this little one. She is such a friendly, social girl. She's a pleasure to get to know.

(Left) Here is one of our long time friends, Oreo (black/white). He and his brother Topaz are visiting us again, after a number of years absense. They remembered the place, no problem. These two boys are big kitties and very schmoozie too.... they love everyone... It's fun to see them both again. They've grown quite a bit since last time.

(Left) Little Meowie Wowie (grey/white) has decided to join our gorgeous white kitty, Zaria. If ever a cat 'smiled', I'd have to say Meowie comes the closest. Zaria doesn't look too bothered by the situation either. They curled up beside each other and slept, with feet entwined. Too bad Meowie just went home yesterday. I'm sure they will meet up again, on future visits. Aren't they just too cute!

(Left) Flying our big green airplane, is our little big boy Sweetie (Siberian). We have little Pegu (Chocolate Burmese), sitting on top of the island counter. The big orange/white boy, is Simba. In the window, farthest, we have Puma (grey/white patches). Our other window kitty is Timbit (dark tabby). You can always tell when I fling open the windows around here...

(Left) Here's another of our new adorable faces. This little girl is named Jane (dark tabby). She settled in right away and checked out all of the play structures, toys, etc. She's doing great, and loves her neck scratches. She also loves sleeping on top of the Pirate Boat.

Dark Tabby Cat Land

(Left) Oh, Sweetness. You've gotten so big. Our not so little friend, Sweetie (Siberian) doubles in size each time that we see him. I'm guessing that he's only about half of his future adult size. Big kitty... big personality...

(Left) This handsome little lad is named Timbit (dark tabby counter). He is the brother to Furrdinand, from yesterday. He's often found, up high, in the spaceship. And, when you can't find him, just open a can of wet food....

(Left) Chazz (dark tabby top rainbow) and his brother Whiskers, just went home on Saturday. This is another young boy, that is still very much in 'growing mode'.... He's a social neck rub kinda guy...

(Left) Lots of people would recognize our handsome boy Jak (dark tabby bed). He would be our 4th dark tabby ... and, our 4th dark tabby schmooze. Yes, these guys are quite typical of male dark tabbies.. They love people and are social with other animals.... Each one is a pleasure to have know.

Ottawa Cats in all colors and assortments....

(Left) Little Skye (Siamese) climbed into a treehouse to see if he could get closer to the bluebird.... This little cutie goes home today. Things won't be the same with out him.

(Left) Here are two more of our friends from last week. Kahlua (dark tabby) and Nootka (Burmese) both went home on Saturday. They both did really well. Skye was sad to see Kahlua go. I'm sure that they'll meet again on a future visit.

(Left) Furrdinand (grey) and his brother Timbit, are in for another visit. This little guy knows how to turn on the 'doe-eyes', doesn't he? These two handsome boys are extremely social and friendly. They make cat friends very quickly too..

(Left) There's our gorgeous girl Besha (Ragdoll) again. She'll be with us for a while, this visit. This is her typical 'feet in the air' pose... She's a good little climber and very playful. We will have much fun together this week.

Maggie, Riley & Molly Looking for Their Forever Families

Maggie ia a long haired female dark tabby kitten. Riley is an orange female kitten.
Riley is somewhat unique because she is a girl. Orange Tabbies are usually male. Maggie and Riley, along with their two brothers Cagney and Flynn were born under a shed in a west end neighbourhood. The quads were lively little things and the two boys, then about four weeks old, were caught pretty easily but the mother moved the other two kits before they could be caught.
The search was on and the neighbourhood alerted and after a few days they were spotted. A board was removed from the fence of the rescuers garden for easy access and a carrier with food was set out. The mother began to come for food every day but she did not bring the other two kits. This went on for over a week then the visits became less frequent and the kits were nowhere to be seen. A neighbour heard a kitten crying during the night but it was a little gray kitten unrelated to the other litter. Eventually the quad's mum reappeared but no sign of the kits.
It took a bit of investigative leg work but finally the kits were rediscovered. They were in another neighbour’s yard and he was able to contain them in his shed. Maggie and Riley were about eight weeks old by this time and were smaller than their brothers. Maggie and Riley are being fostered by the rescuer and are now lively, healthy little things who get along well with Molly, the little gray kitten and the other four older cats in the household. Cagney and Flynn have already been adopted and Maggie, Riley and Molly are hoping it won’t be long before they too find their forever homes.
It is estimated that Maggie and Riley were born around the begining of May. They are up to date with routine shots and are house trained.

Footnote: The quad's mum has now been caught and is in a foster home. She has been spayed and the foster is working with her to socialize her and will integrate her into her feline family. She will stay with the foster where she will live in a safe and nurturing environment with her feline companions.

Molly (below) is a small female grey and white kitten. Her story is connected to that of Maggie and Riley's because she may never have been found had it not been for them. This sweet little four week old orphaned kitten was heard crying in the middle of the night. This precious little bundle was found behind some plants huddled against a wall. Frightened and hungry she had been there all night and all day in extremely hot weather. There was no sign of her mother or any other kittens and it’s a complete mystery as to where she came from or how she got there. Molly was found while searching for Maggie and Riley, two siblings of a litter that was born under a shed in the same area. Molly is quite small but what she lacks in stature she makes up for in stamina. She is very active and entertaining. She gets along with all the other cats and kittens in her foster's household and is not afraid of anyone or anything. She is an absolute delight.
It is estimated that Molly was born around the end of May. Molly is up to date with routine shots and is house trained.

A lotta new faces to adore!

(Left) This gorgeous little dark tabby/white, is named Tara. She's a sweet, gentle purr machine. It is her first visit at the Pet B&B but we've had two of her cousins visit, in the past. She is doing great and looking forward to seeing the family in a couple of days.

(Left) This little grey & white cutie is named Victoria. She is a spunky little girl... especially considering the fact that she's 18 years old. She just went home. She fit in well with the other cats and was looking forward to spending some time outside this weekend.

(Left) Stella (dark tabby) was also visiting for the first time. She loves height, and hanging out with BigBird1. She has a luxurious soft coat and loves her neck scratches. She had fun with her new friends.

(Left) Oh Hi Toto! I was wondering where you got to.... This little boy likes to switch things up on a regular basis.... he takes full advantage of all of the different play structures.. He's an adorable orange schmooze. He can't wait to see mom & dad in a couple of days to tell them all about his big adventure... It was great to see him again.
