How's my pitch?! Do I still have it?

(Left) Do Re Mi LaLaLaLa.... Eins(tein) (dark tabby) tunes up his voice... Dad will be back shortly to take he and his brother Chief home... He has so much that he wants to tell his dad about.... What he did.. Who he met... What he learned..... He's just strenghtening the pipes.... much to tell! And, of course, he wants them in shape for the singing on the car ride home.... But for that, his brother will surely help him!

(Left) Elsa Rae (dark tabby) looks ready to jump on her mom's shoulder.... Erin moves in to get a clear shot... ' Just come a little closer mom.... and, a little more... I'll give you the close-up that you seek! Check out these beautiful eyes! Two hands on the camera Erin! I know what that crazy girl of yours can be like...

(Left) Charlie (black/white) looks very relaxed sleeping up in his corner bunk beds.... His pillow is not lying down flat... This makes me think of what it would be like to try sleeping on the side of a cliff... You wouldn't want to roll over in your sleep....

(Left) Yes Cosmo (grey/white) , you are too handsome... and, what a soft, furry belly you have... 'Oh, you'd like a belly rub.. I couldn't tell!' He will be very pleased when the rain stops... it just so happens that the nice sunny weather coincides with his Dad's return.... Yippee! He loves the great outdoors...

When it rains outside.... keep busy inside...

(Left) Noella (black/white) knows how to enjoy a rainy day indoors... She's made fast friends with BigBird2... They spend hours together, during a day, getting to know each other better....

(Left) Felix (solid black) has visited us before... He can be a bit shy of people.. When you look for him, he's undoubtedly curled up in a nice toasty warm hay bail, or inside of the tractor... come to think of it, he likes the phone booths too..... He's a gentle big boy...

(Left) Miko (tortoise shell) has returned for the weekend... She looks quite a bit like Jazoo that was with us last week... Miko loves to hang out in the rocket, but that has been Cleo's favorite playstructure for the past 2 weeks.... So, Miko decided to curl up in the bottom of the Kitty Cab her first day in.... Cleo has since moved on, and now enjoys the top level of the airplane.... and alas, Miko now has her rocket back... Isn't it fun when things just work out!

(Left) Chief (dark tabby) and his buddy Buster (orange tabby) are back together again... Their visits have overlapped a few times this year already... Both boys are very gentle and sweet.. and have been coming in for many years...

Another Thursday.. Lots of new friends coming in today...

(Left) Tiggy2 just went home... We were playing in the carpeted tree forest... I took a ton of shots of her, but she moves too fast... I have many beautiful pics of her paws and the back of her head... This kitteny cat loves to play.....

(Left) Saffron, or Saffie, as we affectionately like to call her, just came back in for another visit... This is Her spot... If you looked closely enough, I'm sure we could find one of her fluffy white hairs entwined in the seat fabric... just where she left it! She is gorgeous... When she doesn't move, people think that she's a stuffed toy.... too perfect!

(Left) I snapped Erin exercising our 'charges'... More fun with Tal (dark tabby) and Jack Henry (orange tabby)... No arm twisting here... these youngsters don't need to be talked into chasing dangling toys...

(Left) Our big cutie Chloe (grey tabby) just went home again... Here, she's watching Mimi playing up in the airplane... Vegabond (dark tabby/white) is watching her.... These 2 already met a few weeks ago, the last time that Chloe was in...

How much for the kitty in the fishtank?!

I just want to send a short note to the people that are waiting on me to talk to their animals... I haven't forgotten about you. I have just been very busy with building our new website and catching up on a few repairs, as well as building more playstructures for the cats at the Pet B&B... As you can appreciate, animal communication is a subtle language, that requires a very quiet mind in order to make a really strong connection with the animals... With my mind so focused on getting this big stuff out of the way ASAP, my mind has been way too busy to connect with the animals, in a way that I am satisfied with. I will gladly get to all of your queries, once I get the heavy mind 'lifting' out of the way.... Again, sorry for the delays.

(Left) Well, actually, the kitty behind the fishtank! That's our girl Tal (dark tabby).... She was very funny... If the fish swam over very close to her face, she'd squint, as if they would jump out and touch her... She did the 'rounds' of the fish tank... watching from all sides, standing on the little cat chairs in front and, from the top of the tank, looking down at the fishies... Nope.. no fish for dinner that night!

(Left) Fluffy (grey/white) and his younger brother Charlie (black/white) came back in for a visit. They'll be moving to the East Coast shortly... but, I have a feeling we'll see them again one day... They were both in a short while ago... That time, was Charlie's first stay at the Pet B&B... He's an old pro at this now... This picture was taken on the day that they arrived... no shyness here....

(Left) Our gorgeous little girl Noella (black/white) is visiting for the first time... The family was a bit concerned that she wouldn't settle in very quickly... This is one social kitty! She loves attention... but, that's a typical black & white for you!

(Left) We caught Bella (grey/white) snacking on some kibbles ... She is the sister of Dasha.... Bella, when she's in, is usually found, way up high, on top of the phone booths... That is as high as they can go at the B&B.... Bella takes advantage of every inch.. Each additional inch, improves your view, that much more....She should know!

That's a lot of dark tabby...

(Left) Tal (dark tabby) and Jack Henry (orange tabby) are both young kittens.... and, both took an instant shine to BigBird2, and, to each other... They played really well together....

(Left) Abraham (dark tabby), lies 'guard', on the outside of the rocket ship, while his gorgeous little girlfriend Cleo (dark tabby), sleeps inside... This is one little 'lady's man'.... Chivalry is not dead...! 'I'll just make sure that everyone keeps the volume down out here Cleo... Let you get your beauty rest.... You certainly don't need it though.. You are absolutely perfect just as you are!!!'

(Left) Vegabond (white/dark tabby) has been in for a few weeks with his brother Moustique... These 2 kitties have very large frames.... You'll notice that most of the bigger cats.. tend to be the biggest schmoozes..... These two are no exception....

(Left) Jazoo (tortoise shell) has the coolest markings.. and the darkest eye color... Sometimes, you think that her eyes are closed, when really they are open... She's a good little girl... when she's behind the wheel.... she makes a point of keeping them open!

I bet these kitties had more fun than their people did this weekend!

(Left) It is the first time that Tal (dark tabby) has stayed with us. Her mother called on Saturday wondering how she was doing... I explained to her mom, that Tal really likes height..... This picture should be proof of that... This is one action packed little kitten...

(Left) Tiggy2 (calico) is having a short holiday from the puppy, at the house, while mom is out of town... She's adorable... and, also likes all things 'height'....

(Left) Cosmo (grey/white) is back to visit us... his dad has a really crazy busy week ahead, and thought Cosmos would enjoy visiting all of his friends... He looks a bit like Sam I Am... but, Sam has striping .... Cosmos is solid grey/white..... both gentle, social big boys....

(Left) Dasha (dark tabby/white) is touring around the property in the green & orange tractor.... This is a new favorite sleeping space for her... most other visits, she would curl up in the big red phone booths... kinda like her big sister Bella... Both gorgeous girls... very sweet...

No shortage of things to do while at the Pet B&B!

(Left) Erin's little boy Winston (black) popped back in with his sister for the afternoon this week... Here, he and Gizmo (grey/white) are focused, looking out the window, at the building facing the Pet B&B... As it happens, one of our neighbours, has started bringing her small white kitten to her office every day.. the little kitten loves to sit up in their sunny windows... directly in front of us... She'll have to stop in sometime and meet some of her neighbours!

(Left) Yes, It's Jack Henry again (orange tabby medium hair)... He's sharing the loft with our handsome boy Simba (orange/white).... They Do look comfy.... Orange tabbies are comfy any and everywhere though! No stress her....

(Left) When Zena (grey tabby) was here earlier this week... Erin entered one of the indoor rooms to find our little old girl up in one of the tree houses... She kinda looked like she was waiting on a 'fireman' to come along.... She was pretty pleased with herself for having gotten up there, but, wasn't so sure that she wanted to attempt the descent! 'Firewoman' Erin to the rescue....

(Left) Chief (dark tabby) gave us a half-hearted 'Who's there?!'.... I was trying to be so quiet when I snuck up on him sleeping inside of his favorite townhouse.... the one with the Selenite stone of course... He kinda looked up, held his pose, then curled right back down again.... zzzzzzzz..... That pose would be very good for the abs and waist!

You never know what they'll do next!

(Left) Sam I Am (grey/white tabby) and his sister Jazoo (tortoise shell), below, are long time friends of the Pet B&B... Sam used to be such a shy little guy when he first started coming in... and would often hide or head for the 'highest ground' possible, up in our carpeted tree forest tunnels.... But, that was then... This is now... He's very happy to hang around, in plain view, on the bunk beds or even driving the big green tractor around....

(Left) Sam's sister Jazoo, has always been somewhat of an extrovert... I took a bunch of pictures of her playing up on the hay bails... but, few were of any use.... mostly blurrs and little feet moving about, in the air.... We'll keep trying... She's a busy little girl...

(Left) Where is Moustique (grey/white)... Has anyone seen Moustique???
Aahaa! We finally found you! Grey.... Blue..... We almost look the same color.... Just call him Camouflage Kitty! Such a gorgeous little guy....

(Left) If you had seen how Jack Henry (orange tabby) got to this pose..... You'd be impressed!! He jumped across from the window ledge, to the tubular structure.. then landed on the right hand side of this corner bunk bed... Like a ferret, he put his head down, and burrowed underneath the colorful 'striped snake', along the outside of the wall... then, popped himself back out halfway, right into this pose... It was the first time I had seen him do this... although, he did it with such speed and finesse... I had to wonder if he didn't do it on a regular basis....

You're on Kitty Camera...!

(Left) Could this pair of dark tabbies be any cuter? This is the normal afternoon pose for Abraham (top) and Coco (bottom)... and you thought that you were seeing double! You are... double cuteness!

(Left) Here's a better picture of Woodie (grey medium haired).... Her parents just took her for her summer 'haircut' before she arrived last week... This is, what's referred to as a 'Lion Cut'.... We see a fair number of our medium and long haired friends with this sporty 'do'....Many people, after seeing this cut on a cat, will feel sorry for the feline.... It's misplaced sympathy.. believe me... Woodie, like all the other cats with this cut, likes to prance around, kinda like a freshly clipped toy poodle, to show off their great looks.....

(Left) There's our boy Eins(tein) ... He and his brother Chief are back in again.... They send a big hearty purr to their dad in the sunny south... Can't you just picture this guy, about 20 times bigger.... He has the big 'wild cat' walk too...

(Left) I told you that our girl Esmeralda (black/white) is a really goofy kitty once she gets settled.. She likes to play 'all shy' for her first day or so... but, with this much play in her, it's a loosing battle to try to continue with that charade...

More happy cats!

(Left) Mimi (orange tabby/white) will be staying with us for another few weeks yet... He looks very comfy all installed in this treehouse.... and yes, he can be a social butterfly too... We've had so many orange kitties in this past weekend...

(Left) Minouche (black) has been coming in almost from the beginning of the Pet B&B.... She's getting older now... but, is still an adorable little girl...I find that she's mellowing a lot...

(Left) Zena (grey tabby) just went home... I mentioned to her mom that she's not nearly as subtle, as she used to be, about getting our attention and affection... She's very direct... I like direct! No shyness here boys & girls...

(Left) This is a much better picture of Cleo (dark tabby)... she loves height so much, It can be a trick to get a picture with more than just her eyes and the top half of her furry little head showing ... She's a cutie!

Tuesday, May 19, 2009

Did that go fast? or what?

(Left) Simba (orange/white tabby) is in with his brother Gizmo again... The big grey kitty behind Simba's bed is Moustique.... He can be a bit shy, but is getting braver all the time... Simba, on the other hand, is a big orange marshmallow.... soft, sweet and schmoozie.. through & through!

(Left) Toto (muted calico) has stayed with us before... She's a very gentle little one... especially for the color... quite a few calico's are cranky by nature... but, not this one...!

(Left) Monkey (grey/white tabby) was found relaxing in the kitchen cupboards yesterday... I found him at about the same time that our Jack Henry (orange tabby) did... Monkey is the new little brother of Zena.... Monkey is friendly, but his sister Zena can be a total extrovert... Just open a can of tuna... and, you'll see what I mean!

(Left) NewK (dark tabby/white) and her new big sister Alberta (black), just went home a week ago... they both came back to spend the long weekend with us.... Always fun to have them at the Pet B&B...

Happy Holidays!

(Left) Gizmo (grey/white tabby) is, and has always been, a real ham for the camera.... and the spaceship has always been one of his favorite hang-outs.... He's back in with his brother Simba...

(Left) My. What big eyes you have Ebony (chocolate point Burmese) ... This is one tiny kitty... I've know Ebony at least 5 or 6 years.. Her personality is massive, in comparison to her little body... She cracks me up!

(Left) We've got the whole gang here... all three little furries are first timers too... Our big grey kitty is called Shmellow. He's in with his brother Moe (black/white short hair). The little orange fellow is 9 month old Jack Henry.. His mom was worried that he wouldn't fit in... She may choose to rename him Jack Henry Social Butterfly... He makes himself at home regardless of who is around... All stretched out, on the bottom, is Professor.. (calico).. She's a very chatty and friendly girl... All three settled in right away...

(Left) Another new face... Chloe (dark tabby) watches Woodie (grey) from a safe distance... Chloe knows that someone is in there but has chosen to watch and wait, rather than run up and introduce herself... Woodie, hiding in the bails... knows that she's being observed... As Woodie gets older, she gets more and more funny... and playful...

Entertaining the troops!

BigBird2 considers his job to be 'the one that entertains the cats'. Hmmm, Erin & I always thought that was our job! Oh well. We can share the honor I guess...

(Left) Raja (orange/white tabby) got up close and personal with BigBird2... So close... but, so far... I hear you Raja... This little TweetTweet can be quite the comedian....

(Left) 'How did you get in there?... How can I get in there? Is there a secret trap door under the floor boards somewhere? Come on... You can tell me!' Raja, Raja... He'll never tell... I can assure you!

(Left) 'You know what!? I didn't really want to get in there anyway... I was just pretending...'

(Left) Next, Vegabond (dark tabby/white) took his turn... ' I'm sure that I can convince him to tell me!' But, alas. No luck. Struck out again....

(Left) Raja & Vegabond decided to team up... 2 against 1... 'If we both talk to him... maybe we can reason with him... and show him the error of his ways!'.... Good luck boys... You don't know BigBird... He's an even better strategist that you both are... put together... But, I'm not one to discourage.... If there's a will, there's a way... One day, he will meet his match... But, for now, he'll just continue to humour you... It's his job! And, his favorite passtime!
