More company's coming.....

(Left) More familiar furry faces.... Mango (orange/white tabby) and Sweetie (Siberian) are visiting once more. These boys have met at the Pet B&B before....Mango is having a great time with all of the other young ones. Sweetie had a ball too. He
went home yesterday. We look forward to seeing him next time...

(Left) Mally (dark tabby) just went home yesterday. She was so funny Monday morning, before her family picked her up. She got herself all cozied onto the ferris wheel, in the bright morning sunshine. If you take a closer look at the picture, you'll see that she has her arm pulled right through the hole, that's in the wood. At one point, she was actually hugging the ferris wheel, with her two paws. She was so relaxed and comfortable... almost asleep, when I spotted what she was doing...

(Left) I have a few black kitties in right now. This is Salem... She's a tiny little girl, just like Alberta, down stairs... Salem is visiting with her sister Shadow.. also a black cat. Salem is a great jumper and loves attention... not unlike Alberta... I often find her in the airplane with Parker & the youngsters...especially in the morning.

(Left) Little kitten Sarah (black/white)... is young, like her sisters, and just as skillful of a climber.... She's a busy little girl.... wide eyed... in search of adventure.. Those eyes say it all!

(Left) There are our girls Miley (dark tabby/white, bottom) and Sophie (dark tabby, top) again. Sophie can be a bit shy with strangers, until you approach her and offer to play... Miley loves to talk to you and be near you. They will be spending the rest of the March Break with all of their friends...

March Break Activities.....

(Left) Well, lets see if we can keep all of these kitties straight...
We have little Sophie (dark tabby) keeping an eye on brothers Sharpe (grey/white, lower bunk) and Wolfgang (grey/white, upper). Sophie thinks that these guys are just as crazy as her brother Lincoln. These boys are still doing a great job of keeping an eye on BigBird1. I have so many young playful kitties in right now... Everyone is loving the March Break so far....

(Left) Adorable girls Rosaline (calico) and Sarah (black/white) seem to have the same taste in toys. These girls are curious, cuddly and adventurous..... More young crazy kitties.... There hasn't been a lot of sleeping going on in here this past weekend.... Energizer kittens everywhere....

(Left) Sarah's (above) two sisters, Chelsea (dark tabby) and Lily (grey/white) love playing with BigBird2. Callie (calico) is back at it again too.... These 3 girls don't tire or discourage easily... They sit and wait, in hope that BigBird will come waltzing out of his big blue birdhouse door one of these days.... Well, stranger things have happened... So, I say. Why not!

(Left) Hi Squeak (grey/white tabby). Little big squeak is calm, quiet and gentle....He's visiting with his sister Mouse... I often find Squeak inside of the pirate boat or inside one of the phone booths. He's content to watch all of the young, playful craziness that goes on in the group. He's doing great.

(Left) Must be after 10:30 in the morning, cause you don't see this many of my guests sitting, at the same time, if it's earlier than that.... Our little black kitty is Alberta, in the front. The little grey that's sitting up, on the top of the bus, is Noel. It's her first visit. She's fitting right in with her new young friends. That's Lincoln (grey) behind her, on the bus. He's all stretched out and watching the other cats on the floor. We have Sophie again, in the back, top right corner. She's sitting up on one of the bridges.. On the floor, we have our boy Sharpe (grey/white). They were all ready for their catnaps... time to recharge those energizers.....

Sabrina Looking for her Forever Home

Sabrina is a beautiful brown and white medium-hair little feline born around Nov 1/08. She has quite the unique colouration. Almost all white with tabby markings on her back and four black spots on the back of each leg. A small scar on her nose indicates that she's been in a fight previously with another cat, probably trying to find a warm place to sleep or a morsel of food to eat out in the harsh, cold nights. Sabrina has adapted very well to her foster home family of dogs and cats and will need time to adjust to her new home. She has started playing with toy mice and enjoys sleeping in a sunny spot on the sofa.
Sabrina is looking for a loving home to remind her that there are wonderful people willing to love her and give her a forever home. Sabrina is up-to-date with routine shots and house trained. If you wish to adopt Sabrina please contact the Cat Rescue Network at (613) 820-7088 or via email to flora_louise@yahoo.ca or take a tour of the website at http://catrescuenetwork.ca to see other sweet cats waiting for a forever home.

March Break Count Down.. Blast off!

(Left) There's an old friend.... He's actually very young, but it's real nice to see Lincoln (grey/white patch) again. He arrived this week with his sister Sophie. He likes sitting in the bus' conductors chair... He's such a gentle, friendly and playful big boy. He's having a lot of fun with Sharpe, Wolfegang & Caruso...

(Left) My adorable girl Gingko has been getting a nice sun tan all week. With the unbelievable spring like weather out side, the cats sit and sleep patiently near the windows in case little 'wildlife' dart past the window... Well Gingko, with those pointy little toes, I'd say that the little mousies don't stand much of a chance.... I'll have to give her a little trim this weekend... She was very happy to hear that her family saw her pictures and are thinking of her. She's excited to get back out in the garden, once the snow has disappeared for good.

(Left) Let's all get up in the spaceship and look out the windows for a while... Sweetie (Siberian) and Callie (calico) are no strangers to the space ship.... Actually, they aren't strangers to any of my play structures... You never know where you'll find them next. These two are doing great.

(Left) Another familiar face... I have many dark tabbies in currently... but, little Sookie has very distinct markings... She's easy to pick out of a crowd. She does love her airplane.... when she walks right down to the end of the tail, she can get within feet of BigBird2, without having to sit on a hard tile floor to do it... She's going to miss all of her feline friends when she goes back home in a week. She sends a big 'Hi' to her dads...

All in the family...

(Left) Our gorgeous girl Augustine (dark tabby) has been visiting us over the past week. Her favorite hang outs are the tops of the 8 foot phone booths... just as they were in previous visits.. I did however come in this morning to find her on the top of the airplane, right in front of the big sunny windows, with Ople and Caruso... It was great to see her out and about. I noticed a short while later, that Carabelle had installed herself up on the back phone booth... That may help to explain why Augustine was on the plane. She did look comfy though...

(Left) Here are the adorable sisters Missy (black/white) and little Cali (calico). These two usually stake out my big pillows for their afternoon naps. They aren't particular, they are happy on either one. It is unusual to find Missy out in the open like this, during the whole day. In the past, she always gravitated to the lower, quieter kitchen cabinets. It could very well be her new little sister Cali's influence. Great to see her more relaxed and confident mixing in with her feline companions and with all of the new people that she sees here.

(Left) From the two sisters, to the two handsome brothers... Wolfgang (left, one grey colored eye patch) & Sharpe (right, two grey eye patches) are almost twins.... Gee. Why would I say that?! No, really. They are so fun and funny. They enjoyed watching BigBird1 eat his breaky today. Little boy Sharpe almost lost a toe when he leaned onto BigBird's mesh window, while he was eating... Couldn't tell whether BigBird was trying to vary his diet, or just giving little Sharpe a subtle warning, to come back later, after he's eaten.... These boys spend large parts of their day somewhere in BigBird's vicinity.

(Left) More Pet B&B Newbies...Our adorable girl Miley (dark tabby/white) is a social butterfly. She moves around a lot. I don't often find her up high anywhere. She prefers a waist height resting location. Her mom says that she's quite the social butterfly at home too... she'll stroll around the neighbourhood and visit all of her human, feline or canine friends... She loves her neck scratches...

(Left) Keeping up with her new younger brothers Sharpe & Wolfgang.... Little miss Alberta (black) is an active little girl. She is an excellent climber too.... This visit, I usually find her sleeping on the big tractor seat... When she wants to get my attention, she will climb the windows of my french doors, if I am in the hallway with customers or other cats for too long... She loves to climb up to my eye level..That way she can be sure that I see her.... Smart kitty!

March 10th 2010... March Break craziness starts tomorrow....

(Left) Mushu (dark tabby) arrived again this morning. He is an adorable little boy. I'm looking forward to having a chat with him this afternoon to see if he can give his family some insight into the digestive issues that he's experienced since he was very young. He loves to suntan on my entrance chairs watching outside, as people go about their lives. I'm curious to know more about his personality too.

(Left) Mommy Snowy (white top) and her daughter Ople (white lower) can't get enough of these sunny days. I find them here, in the airplane, from early in the morning til I go home at night. They usually have Caruso up there with them for most of the day. Here are two girls that I would like to chat with sometime too. They can be independant but I was explaining to their mom that Ople has been an absolute cuddle suck for the past 2 weeks. She wants neck and head scratches all the time and doesn't seem to ever get enough. It's very fun to see her like that especially after all of these years that she's been visiting me. It's a huge switch. I'm not complaining at all!

(Left) Here's another Newbie. This adorable grey kitty is named Jasmine. She does look quite a lot like Kaju but they are not related. Jasmine only stayed a short while with us this week but she did fine. Mostly she just found a quiet spot and watched what all of the other boys & girls were up to. Her mom was worried that she's get into trouble with the other cats.... Not at all!

(Left) My little Leanna Banana...... Leanna (dark tabby) is the sister of Carabelle, from yesterday. These two girls get more comfortable and confident each time that they visit the Pet B&B. They also get more schmoozie each time.... They were friendly and affectionate soon after they arrived this week. No adjustment period required.... Always great to see the girls again.

Soooo many adorable kitties.....

(Left) Handsome boy Kaju (grey) has returned for the March Break, and he has returned to his favorite pillows.... He loves these big corner bunk beds and loves to snuggle up to the big colorful caterpillar behind him. He uses it as a head rest sometimes... I find him sleeping, with his head buried into it on occasion. He is such a head-butt-er ... he even head butts the caterpillar....

(Left) Another very familiar adorable face...I caught Sweetie (Siberian).... or Sweetness, as I usually call him......peeking his head out from a treehouse window... Not very many cats poke their head out this small opening. It fit his big furry maine so well... he reminded me of those cut-outs, in theme parks, where people pop their heads into other peoples 'bodies'.... Made me want to walk over and paint a dog, on the treehouse wall that surrounds him.....

(Left) Another of our Newbies..... This little kitten is named Cali (calico).... not to be confused with Callie, a slightly older calico, that is much bigger..... Little Cali is the new sister to Missy (black/white). We will see Missy soon. This little firecracker girl gets around.... She doesn't sleep much and is having a great time with her new friends Sweetie, Kaju, Sookie and Bigbird2... she makes more friends each day.

(Left) Yes, yes.... It's my little ham.... Carabelle (dark tabby)... She and sister Leanna are Pet B&Bing this week. She is a complete extrovert... She's enjoying driving the tractor around in the afternoon... sometimes, you even find her on the back hay wagon, reclining on a big soft haybail... Once you talk to her, that's where she is....

More Ottawa Cats on March Break..

(Left) Another adorable orange male tabby..... doing the orange male tabby thing.... My boy Choufleur visits the Pet B&B regularly... He's such a little marshmallow boy when it comes to getting his neck scratches. He has always loved the rainbow... it lends itself nicely to stretching out and flashing one's tummy....

(Left) Caruso (black) is with me again. He's a real social boy and often, is found sunning himself in the airplane with Snowy & Ople, or curled up in one of my kitty cabs, with Gingko curled up in the one beside.... Yes, he is a lady's man.... smart, handsome & charming.... what a combination...

(Left) My handsome boy Balou (dark tabby/white) returned for another visit. He is often shy his first couple of days in, then he gets more adventurous....He has quick instincts and is very observant of his surroundings... He is always on the look out for a neck scratch....This is one gentle, schmoozie boy. We'll see him again at Christmas. Yes, folks..... I already have many Christmas bookings..... Please don't wait til mid summer to reserve. I had to refuse a great deal of business last year...

(Left) Oh boy! There she goes again.... Gorgeous girl Sookie (dark tabby) loves to keep busy checking out all of the sights, sounds & entertainment... She was having fun climbing inside the airplane when she decided that she could do better than that..... So, up she went, walking across the top of the airplane's body, while dodging the sky ward open windows, and finally jumping up to the top of the tall scratching post, that supports the tail section.... Her descent was swift & skillful.... from the post, she jumped down, right through one of the top facing windows on the planes body, landing inside of the plane again.... She must get practice at that when I'm not here... that was too smooth to be her first time.....

Tibi looking for his Forever Home

Tibi, a lovely little tabby was born around July 2009. He is a very friendly cat who is used to children and other cats. He had a very stressful life before being rescued. He is now settled in a foster home and is anxiously waiting for someone to adopt him and provide him with the love and attention he deserves. He is a lovely gentle cat who will make a purr-fect companion for a very lucky family.

If you wish to adopt Tibi please contact the Cat Rescue Network at (613) 820-7088 or via email to flora_louise@yahoo.ca or take a tour of the website at http://catrescuenetwork.ca to see other sweet cats waiting for a forever home.

Go Ella, Go!!

(Left) More crazy kitty Ella (grey) pictures from her last vacation.... Without a doubt, her mom & dad already know how playful she is.... When she gets the Beansie Eyes (full of beans) going on, she is unstoppable....

For such a slim, sleek little girl, she sure is tall..... Just as tall as the 2 foot scratching post.... Hard to tell from the picture, but I'm guessing she's up on her tippy toes....

(Left) When she's not playing 'stretch-a-ella' with one of the many scratching posts, she switches into 'hunt & retrieve' mode.... Here, she's tracked herself a rare tropical purple speckled feathered boa... not normally seen in these frigid climes...
(Left) Well, that was fun & good exercise..... And now for the real test of my hunting abilities... the edibility factor... Hmm, smells good, looks good, feels good in my little tethered toes... Hmm, but something is missing..... Where's the Beef!!!! Zut. Foiled again!

Thursday, March 4, 2010

Sun, sun, sun and more sun....

(Left) Nothing like fishing on a warm sunny day.... Callie (calico) and Bootsie (orange/white tabby) are getting good at fish stalking....They like fishing almost as much as they like BigBird2 watching.... Bootsie goes home today. He had a great time with his buddies. Callie will be with us for the month.... She is going to have so much fun with all of my new & old friends that are March Breaking at the B&B... These 2 are so sweet...

(Left) Naomi (dark tabby, front) was sure that she saw Feline (dark tabby, bails) go this way... but, where did she disappear to! Naomi could feel herself being watched but, where oh where, not so much as a hair! On closer inspection, she did happen to spot a shielded eye, peeking out, from behind the curtain.... Oh! Neat trick Feline... You had me fooled!

(Left) As I was taking pictures of Parker (orange/white counter), Flick (black/white counter) and Mia (black/white airplane)..... funny boy Jack Henry (orange tabby) 'popped' in to the frame... He had been on the other side of the room when I started snapping these three munchkins....He is a ham!! I have other pics of him in this series, where he is looking even closer, into my camera lens and face... He loves to be a part of the action....

(Left) More of my lovable cuties... Molly (white/dark tabby, stairs), Gaffer (black/white) and Baffi (dark tabby/white, loft) were getting ready for their mid morning snoozes... they wanted a few more cuddles and neck rubs before settling in though.... Then, off to bed they went.... By 11am, sounds of silence......zzzzzzz....

Ottawa Cats mid week....

(Left) There's my adorable Mindy (grey/white tabby) sporting her brand new 'lion cut'... I think it looks adorable on her and she likes it too. This is a big girl that is always hiding underneath a pillow or blanket... Since she arrived, this visit, with her new 'do', she's been hanging out ON the low bunk beds.... Wow... When you look good, you do feel good! Same thing applies for the little furries....

(Left) Another of my adorable girls... Jane (dark tabby) went home for a weekend with mom & is back again this week. True to form... she's on her favorite chair, right back in front of BigBird1. This cutie is always easy to find....

(Left) Sookie (dark tabby) made fast friends with Molly (white/dark tabby). Molly just went back home this morning. Sookie is vacationing with us for a couple more weeks. These two girls are roughly the same age. They are both real playful and social with people and the other cats. Sookie will be meeting many new buddies in the next 2 weeks as people take off on their ski and sun holidays...

(Left) Whoa Nellie!! This is Baffi's new little sister.... Nellie bunny is so much fun to watch. She spins around the entire hallway most afternoons... She does her relay race in circles and does, what most closely resembles back rolls, that expose her tummy, like a puppy would, for tummy rubs.... then, off she goes again, in her crazy circles.... She's so cute. She loves her fresh veg.. especially her curly leaf parsley.... I used to have crazy colored bunnies like this, when I was a little kid...

Tuesday, March 2, 2010

We say Au Revoir to many of my long term guests this week....

(Left) My gorgeous girl Gingko Maria.. (black) was getting a piggy-back from our black & white moomoo... She has been wintering with all of her friends and is very excited to see the nice weather return. She sends out a big Hello to her mom....

(Left) There's our adorable little Molly (white/dark tabby) again. She sure is having fun with all of her buddies. This little Miss loves height and enjoys playing with all of my kitty toys....This is one of her favorite relaxing spots... she can get ever so close to BigBird2 (sitting on his mesh window) from this perch. She goes home this week. She will surely be missed by her friends...

(Left) There's my handsome Django (orange tabby) again. He popped in for another weekend holiday. He's a little charmer and has a big curiosity to go with those big, bright eyes of his. He loves to sit and watch what the other kitties are doing.

(Left) More of Ottawa's finest.... Flick (black & white) and Bootsie (orange/white tabby) both love to sit in the morning sunshine. Flick still prefers the spaceship for sleeping in, while Bootsie is often found up high some place, either in the airplane or on the cat sized beds, up on the loft. Both of these kitties will go home this week.

Monday, March 1, 2010

Welcome March 2010..... YAH CANADA!

(Left) Here's one of the Pet B&B Newbies..... This gorgeous little dark tabby is named Sookie... She's young, friendly and so playful. She and BigBird2 'hit it off ' right away. She's already having fun playing with Molly & Cali.... I will have many more pictures of this little cutie as the weeks go on.

(Left) Some of the handsome boys that are visiting right now... Baffie (dark tabby/white) and Parker (white/orange) are meeting for the first time. Parker has visited a few times in the last year. This is Baffie's 2nd visit. Baffie now has a new 'sister'... Nellie the bunny... These boys are very comfortable in this environment and with their feline friends.... Always great to see them again.

(Left) Here's one of my little chatty boys... Kuzia (dark tabby) will return home this week. The place won't feel the same with out him here. I know he'll be so pleased to see his mom & dad again... and, to go outside in this spring like weather.

(Left) As you can see, my adorable friend Ella (grey) is a ham for the camera. She's very playful and funny.... I have more pictures of her that I will post together, later this week. She's such a little ham! Always a pleasure to see her again.
